Fishing Tournament

Basic Tips:

Use Ocean Prospector map BEFORE doing regular fishing, Use all 3 Buffs! Use your free fishing voucher for this first cast! This will maximize your points! Giving you quick easy upgrades before even doing 1 regular cast! Stick to the edges when casting as much as possible, Switching sides as needed! Tails don't trigger lures! Don't worry about hitting the back of the fish! Mermaids wrapped in Seaweed are TRAPPED and will give you bonus points for saving them! ALWAYS grab the treasure chests! They give you actual chests to open!

HUGE TIP:

If you have a bad run, BEFORE you get to the top hit the PAUSE button and then RETREAT This will ensure you use NONE of your components / attempts, while preserving the same run! That's right, You can re-attempt the same run MULTIPLE times until you get the fish/chest/etc. you need!

You can also use this method to SCOUT the water before a real attempt! Simply go down, and avoid fish as best as possible, Remember to note where the fish you want are instead of just grabbing something you see cause you want it! Then when you get to the bottom, Pause / Retreat and restart the run for free. Now you know at exactly which depths everything you need is at! [MERMAIDS are the only thing that changes! Keep going until you get the mermaid you want to appear if you need the mermaids, You will only spawn a Mermaid that is the same STAR level, and if they're trapped in seaweed you will only spawn others trapped in seaweed and vice versa!]
